أعلنت شركة جوجل استحواذها على موقع (picnik) لتحرير الصور الذي يعمل على تحرير الصور من جهاز المستخدم أو من مواقع رفع الصور أو مواقع الصور الاجتماعية مثل فليكر وفيسبوك وبيكسا، حيث يستطيع المستخدمون من خلال الموقع رفع الصور ومن ثم تحريرها وتحميلها مرةً أُخرى. جوجل باستحواذها على الموقع يتوقع أن تقوم بتوجه الخدمة بالكامل إلى خدمة ألبوم جوجل بيكسا، يذكر أن موقع (picnik) يُعد من أفضل مواقع تحرير الصور المعروفة والمجانية والذي يضاهي في خدماته روعةً الكثير من المواقع المدفوعة والذي يعتمد عليها الكثير من مستخدمي موقع فليكر التابع لياهو التي لا يعرف ما ستكون ردةُ فعلها بعد تغيير ملكية الموقع إلى منافستها في نفس المجال جوجل.
